Resin 3D printing’s popularity is exploding right now among 3D printing enthusiasts. Modern 3D printer brands like Anycubic are redefining the traditional balance between cost and quality.
They are bringing flagship-level prints to the level of the average consumer at increasingly lower prices. As a result, more users are taking advantage of the superior print quality they offer.
However, a big issue in resin 3D printing is the washing and curing of finished prints. To get the excess resin off the print and ensure that its structure is solid, the finished print has to be washed and cured.
The washing and curing process can be a labor-intensive and messy one. It has to be done slowly and carefully by hand or with an ultrasonic bath to avoid damaging the print, then using a UV light to cure the resin.
However, new technology on the horizon is gearing up to change and disrupt this process.
Anycubic, the brains behind popular printers like the Anycubic Photon Mono X, is driving this new shift in technology. Their newest product, the Anycubic Wash & Cure Plus, is a one-stop station for every resin enthusiast’s washing and curing needs.
Sporting a great design and several new game-changing features, the Wash and Cure Plus (Amazon) is primed to be the perfect companion for any resin desktop printer.
So, let’s dive into this new product and see exactly what it has to offer.

Beautiful Sturdy Design
As usual, Anycubic hits it out of the park with the design of the Wash and Cure Plus. The entire structure is well-designed and optimized for desktop use.
The Wash and Cure’s design is both functional and aesthetic. The signature yellow top adds a touch of class while doubling as a UV ray blocker.
The machined metal base also gives it an element of stability while maintaining a sleek look.
Larger Tank Capacity
The biggest feature of the Wash and Cure Plus is its increased capacity. The new wash tank is capable of holding up to 8.5 Liters of cleaning solvent. The curing platform is also optimized for larger prints.
With this, cleaning and curing larger prints has become a breeze. You can even assemble larger parts printed in batches before curing.
Powerful Magnet-Driven Impeller
The Wash and Cure Plus introduces a magnet-driven impeller for agitating the solvent to clean the prints. The powerful magnet swirls the solvent to high velocities ensuring that all the resin is cleaned off from the print’s surface.
The washing action is strong but also gentle to ensure that none of the delicate features of the prints are harmed.
Flexible UV Array
The Wash and Cure Plus puts a literal twist on the standard UV array by introducing a tiltable section at its top. The section can be tilted at different angles enabling UV rays to hit the top sections of prints for optimal curing.
Spinning 360⁰ Curing Platform
The rotating print platform ensures that all sides of the print are suitably exposed to the UV light for curing. The platform also rotates at an optimal speed to ensure each side of the print cures properly.
Reflective Base Mirror Sticker
On the wash and cure, a reflective sticker placed on the curing platform ensures that the UV rays reach the bottom. The rays from the UV lamps bounce off the reflective sticker and hit the bottom to cure it.
Anti-UV Light Cover
The Wash and Cure come with Anycubic’s signature yellow top that blocks UV light. The cover blocks up to 99.5% of the outgoing UV light offering the user protection against harmful UV rays.
Easy-to-Use Control Panel
The control panel of the Wash and Cure features a large bright LCD panel, a control knob, and a switch for toggling between modes. The LCD shows the time while the knob provides fine adjustments for the timer.
The switch is also very easy to use, making switching between washing and curing a breeze.
Enclosed Washing Bucket and Rack
A big advantage of the Wash and Cure plus is its ability to accept various print sizes in different configurations. Users have the option of mounting prints directly on a top rack using the build plate, or simply dropping them in the wash basket.
Either way, you can be sure of a top-notch washing experience.
Improved Safety Features
Anycubic has put a lot of thought into improving the safety features of Wash and Cure Plus over the previous generation.
A great example is the new wash tank which has a magnet-driven impeller to ensure its bottom is waterproof to keep the solvents from leaking out.
It also comes with a cover to keep the solvent from spilling and releasing dangerous fumes.
Furthermore, during curing, when you remove the UV top, the machine automatically stops its operation. This prevents the UV rays from escaping.

Customer Reviews of the Anycubic Wash and Cure Plus
Early reviews of the Wash and Cure Plus have been overwhelmingly positive. Users all over are delighted with the new and improved functionalities it offers.
One area users are particularly delighted with is the packaging and installation. The Wash and Cure Plus comes well-packaged in a semi-assembled state.
Putting everything together is very easy. All you have to do is to fill the wash tank, mount it on the base, plug the machine in, and you’re good to go.
Users are also raving about the powerful cleaning action offered by the Wash and Cure Plus. Some users are even commenting about the insane value it provides over other ultrasonic cleaners.
These positive reviews are partly due to the larger top rack and basket. The new racks can accommodate not only the build plate from Anycubic printers, but also build plates from other similar-sized mid-range resin printers.
No Wash & Cure devices up until this point could successfully hold the build plate for the Anycubic Photon Mono X, so this is a long-awaited addition to the line of Anycubic products.
The new impeller does a great job of agitating the solvent. Also, every two minutes, it reverses the agitation direction to make sure all sections are cleaned equally. These changes have resulted in clean well-detailed prints for many users.
The new UV lamp array and the reflective base sticker have also become hits among consumers. They provide greater curing power resulting in stronger prints.
For parts that have a diameter of less than 30mm, a curing time of 2 minutes should work well. For more complex models, you’ll want to use a longer curing time so you can adequately cure your models.
Overall, you can say that many users are very satisfied with the Wash and Cure Plus. Anycubic sold out all its pre-order units, so it is safe to say that the Wash and Cure is going to become a very big hit.
Anycubic Wash & Cure Plus Vs Anycubic Wash & Cure 2.0 Vs Elegoo Mercury
Comparing the three main wash & cure devices on the market is something that many people are after.
Simply put, the Anycubic Wash & Cure Plus is a much larger device which specifically allows you to fit the build plate of larger machines such as the Anycubic Photon Mono X and the Elegoo Saturn printers.
It can accompany a build plate size of 192 x 120 and has a maximum curing size of 190 (D) x 245 (H) which is more than enough for a large model or many smaller models.
I’ve got the Anycubic Photon Mono X along with the Elegoo Mercury Wash & Cure device and it works well but can’t fit the large build plate. It means I have to remove the model and put it at an angle for larger models.
This can involve having to flip the model around and give it another wash cycle to properly wash the resin out of the model. With the release of the Wash & Cure Plus, this extra step won’t be needed and things will be a lot smoother.
The Anycubic Wash & Cure 2.0 and the Elegoo Mercury are very similar devices, with the main differences being in the user interface. They generally accomplish the same tasks and have almost the same dimensions.
The Anycubic Wash and Cure Plus combines both washing and curing functionality efficiently. It manages to solve two issues facing resin users in a simple, cost-effective way.
Now, with its new features and size, the Wash and Cure might be well on its way to becoming the new standard for finishing resin prints. So, if you’re considering adding this machine to your workbench, I highly recommend you do so while it’s still in stock.
I’m sure you won’t be disappointed by the value it will provide you.
