Downsides
When using a faster printing speeds, smaller movements can sometimes lead to print imperfections, especially on text. Unfortunately there isn’t an in-built leveling feature in the CR-10 V2, but we do have the option to upgrade it with a BL-Touch.
This 3D printer isn’t the quietest, but we definitely have options to reduce the overall noise output. I would recommend putting foam on the feet.
The company provides limited help and services to its customers in some cases which has caused some inconvenience to the buyers. This isn’t the usual reports I’ve heard, but we can’t discount someone’s experience.
Sometimes you have to chase down some customer support, but once you are through to the correct team, they are amazing at helping users out.
Also, if not setup correctly, the print quality is not very satisfactory so you need to properly assemble your machine.
The user manual the manufacturer provides is quite difficult to follow sometimes. I’d definitely advise using a video tutorial, like I do with all my reviews for 3D printers because it can make a huge difference to your assembly experience.
There is still no addition to the touch screen. There is an increased footprint due to the external PSU. Moreover, the machine requires regular maintenance to continue printing well, especially if it’s in a dusty room without ventilation.
Another flaw is that everything is hardwired and is difficult to repair or replace. Beginners can do these changes with guidance, but having some mechanical knowledge and experience does make things easier.
