Bambu Lab H1 Leak?! AI, Rumors, or Marketing Stunt?
Are these leaks real? Apparently a new Bambu Lab H1 machine has accidentally been leaked, all originating from a picture that’s circulating online.
I decided to dive in and look around for sources and real information on this to figure out what’s really going on.

There’s a few Reddit posts and X posts that are talking about this new H1 machine.
Through my research on Reddit I stumbled on a comment which links an article from 3DPrintingIndustry about this leak, called New Bambu Lab 3D Printer Leak, Another Round of Speculation.
It mentioned that the blurry image was sourced from WeChat (Chinese version of WhatsApp) and posted on X June 4th. The post has 21,000 views and says the new 340mm build volume single extruder flagship is coming. There’s not much more info past that from the poster.
Going through the user’s X account, they have been into the 3D printing space for a long time and has a background in engineering design & 3D printing.
I sent him a message on X so I’ll update this if I hear anything back.
Here’s a recent Reddit post that talks about this potential leak.
The OP (Original Poster) talks about the picture showing:
- a Z-axis height of 340mm which would be close to the newer H2D size
- A single nozzle print head rather than dual extrusion system in the H2D
- Extruder shows a similar yellow driveshaft motion wheel just like the A1 machines
- A toolhead camera near the nozzle – possibly for calibration or detection
- The H2D nozzles have machine-readable code, but this leaked picture shows the front plate on the printhead covers it, maybe showing less self-monitoring cameras than the H2D
The post goes on to say that people are speculating that Bambu Lab could be looking to release a lower price, large format 3D printer to get more of a mainstream audience. It is in line with the company’s strategy to bring affordable 3D printers to people.
SplendidRig from another Reddit post made some great points about this potential new machine:
A reply to that comment states that it might be the same X & Y dimensions and just a bigger Z axis dimension due to the single nozzle.
One comment said it looks like the P1S of the H2D world, A1 style nozzles along with the new H2D style bridge and large build plate.
So it’s basically a hybrid of Bambu Lab machines.
The H2D bed is 325mm, so having a single toolhead rather than the dual would increase print size by 15mm, so the 340mm makes sense.
Some people are more on the cynical side, hinting that it might be an AI generation, which does make sense in these times full of easy access to high quality AI picture generation.
Another comment mentioned that the text is a give away for it being AI. The picture is blurry so it’s hard to tell.
Some people are saying the picture is staged to spark hype, not an uncommon strategy for companies to take to boost sales.
Others are tuning into this creation and naming it the H1D!
Here’s the most popular post about this topic on Reddit, on the official Bambu Lab subreddit.
metal_katana on this same post also agrees that this is an intentional leak by Bambu Lab.
Do you agree?
Check out this video from The3DFarmer, he breaks it down pretty nicely too.
So what’s the deal with this leak?
After going through all this stuff, I’m still not sure what to believe. The specs make total sense. Bambu would be smart to make a cheaper big printer, but the blurry picture and weird text? It could totally be AI.
Or maybe it’s just Bambu being sneaky and “accidentally” leaking it to see how people react. Companies do that all the time.
Either way, people clearly want this machine. If it’s not real, Bambu should probably make it real because the community is definitely interested.
I’m gonna keep watching to see if anything official comes out. What do you think – real or fake? Let me know because I’m curious what other people are seeing that I might have missed.
