The previous models of the Qidi Tech X-Maker used to have an on-board camera, but this feature, along with the power off resume function has been removed.
They did mention that in place of this they upgraded the main control system to make the 3D printer quieter and to improve print quality, although keeping these features would have been a lot more ideal.
Documentation of this 3D printer is quite scarce and you won’t find much on their website
Replacement parts are hard to come by
The touchscreen sometimes acts slow, which might cause frustration.
The build volume is not one of the greatest that you will find out there.
It has a relatively small community of owners.
The hinge to change filament does not have anything to clasp on, which puts extra pressure on the machine –that is dangerous.

This is one of their budget options, while still keeping that level of quality that we see in their more premium machines. It’s unfortunate that they took out the in-built camera and print resume function, but the other features make up for it.
